Beans (ibishyimbo) in Rwanda come in a huge variety of colours. When you wash them to get the dust and grit out, they glow like jewels. Unfortunately, when you've finished cooking them they've all reverted to a slugdy brown colour. But, raw, they're gorgeous to look at.
